Easy food recipes ideas, Today: LASAGNA DE CALABACIN HAM AND CHEESE

 

Lasagna with courgette ham and cheese. This recipe goes without pasta, because we are going to replace it with zucchini. It will be a great way for children – or ourselves – to eat vegetables without having to give up flavor. A very healthy dish. To prepare it, we will need few ingredients, all at hand and very cheap. As I was saying, let’s replace the lasagna pasta with some zucchini strips. To prepare this lasagna of courgette ham and cheese, we will need:

 

INGREDIENTS TO PREPARE A LASAGNA OF CALABACIN HAM AND CHEESE FOR 3 PEOPLE:

3 large courgettes
12 strips of ham
12 slices of mozzarella
salt and black pepper
grated cured cheese
a splash of oil

RECIPE OF THE LASAGNA OF CALABACIN HAM AND CHEESE:

1.- We wash the courgettes and dry them well. Then we will cut them into strips, lengthwise, about 3 millimeters thick

2.- Cook the strips in abundant boiling water, to which we add a pinch of salt. We do it in small batches so that it is easier to cook them. After about 3 minutes, we remove them from the water and reserve them on a plate.

3.- We put a baking tray, or a mold, with a little oil, so that it does not stick to the bottom. Then we put a layer of zucchini strips. Above, cover with slices of cooked ham, top with mozzarella cheese and on top, sprinkle with a little freshly ground black pepper. If this recipe is for children, and you want to cover the green color of the zucchini, you can also add a layer of fried tomato over the zucchini, before starting to put the ham

4- Repeat the previous step until you have finished making three floors. In the end, we must finish with a layer of zucchini.

5.- Again, if you want to cover the “green” color, you can cover all the fried tomato lasagna. If not, directly sprinkle grated cheese, manchego or parmesan type, over the top, and add the lasagna to the oven, previously heated to 200ÂșC. Let it cook for about 20 minutes.

 

This lasagna with courgette, ham, and cheese is easier to make than conventional lasagna. And it’s delicious! An excellent way to introduce vegetables to our diet!
